I had wanted to venture into gardening for years, but starting from no experience and no education was overwhelming. After I took one of Daryl Wood’s beginner classes, I felt a lot less paralyzed. He was able to clearly present how to create the optimal gardening space and some basic how-to’s regarding preparing the soil, prepping seeds, and nurturing plants. Beyond that, Daryl even engineered and constructed my first raised garden bed. He sourced and delivered all the materials, mapped out the plan, and assembled a voluntary work crew. The thing that impressed me the most about Daryl was how meticulous he was with his work; he made sure every single concrete block was perfectly leveled and placed. Years later, my raised bed looks and operates as strong as on day 1. And the best part?…I‘ve had an explosion of crops during every growing season since. I owe it all to Daryl and his expertise.
